Greetings from the Seagull river,

Ashley, Victor and I are working hard to have all camp programs and facilities ready for this summer. As you’re aware, everyone is being presented with new challenges right now.

The coronavirus has affected all of us in many ways. Currently, we do not have a reported case of the virus in our county.

Nobody knows how things will work out, and with uncertainty comes new challenges.

As of this date, we are only planning to operate Session 2 of camp this summer with modifications to our health and cleaning procedures. We are continuing to take new enrollments for this session. For this reason, we have decided to operate as a family camp during the first half of the summer (Session 1).

We are also waving Session 2 deposits for a limited time. Claim your offer HERE.

If widespread testing for the coronavirus is available by the start of camp, we may require all staff and campers to be tested prior to arrival. This, of course, is a big IF. Rest assured, we are taking this new challenge very seriously and we will only provide a safe and healthy camp environment for our Birchwood family!

The beauty of Birchwood Wilderness Camp is our location and our activities. Instead of public pools, packed amusement parks, video games, TV, and the stressors of current events, our campers will be outside enjoying some of the cleanest water and air in the world without distractions.

With our “small by design” camp model, we’re able to control the environment that we live in here at Birchwood.

Lastly, we are dedicated to a safe, fun, and positive learning environment for kids at camp. If at the last minute, you decide that your son should not attend camp, we will be happy to transfer any tuition payment to next year with no increase in rate. In other words, if you pay for camp, your son can come next year if he is unable to come this summer.

On behalf of all of us at Birchwood Wilderness Camp, we hope you are all well and coping with our new world in a positive, healthy and safe way.

Happy Trails,

Dan Bredemus
